Hiking trails

Due to the fact that the Narew National Park is a wetland area, the hiking trails go through the outskirts of the Park and its buffer zone, which are the:

  • WŁ. PUCHALSKIEGO TRAIL - 41km, red signs
    Łapy Osse – Płonka Kościelna – Łupianka Stara – Bokiny – Wólka Waniewska – Jeńki – Waniewo – Kurowo – Pajewo – Jeżewo Stare. This trail is in memory of an outstanding photographer, film maker and promoter of the Narew’s wildlife, Włodzimierz Puchalski. In this route you will find: the historical railway’s settlement in Łapy Osse; a church with the miraculous image of the Płonce Kościelnej Lady; an excellent view point over Narew Valley, near Bokin and the Narew National Park headquarters in Kurowo.
  • SIGMUND GLOGER TRAIL - 47 km, green signs
    Nowosiółki – Choroszcz – Ruszczany – Rogowo – Pańki – Rzędziany – Leśniki – Sanniki – Tykocin – Jeżewo Stare. This trail is dedicated to the Sigmunf Gloger, an outstanding ethnographer, historian who lived in Stare Jeżewo. In this trail is worth to visit the Branicki summer residence in Choroszcz and in Tykocin the great synagogue, the church and the ruins of the Sigmund August castle. The trail goes partly along the border of the Narew National Park, over the dam and then through the river weir’s.
  • THE NAREW TRAIL - 35 km, yellow signs
    Białystok Nowe Miasto – Księżyno - Trypucie – Zawady – Topilec – Izbiszcze – Śliwno – Kruszewo – Pańki. It leads you from Bialystok to the edge of the Narew National Park, allowing you to meet the villages on the right bank of the river. Along the way, you will find the historic Orthodox church and its cemetery in Topilcu, a campsite and a watching tower in Topilec-Kolonia.
  • TEXTIL WORKERS TRAIL - 68 km, blue signs
    Strabla – Doktorce –Zawyki - Suraż – Borowskie Żaki – Turośń Dolna – Markowszczyzna
    Niewodnica Kościelna – Kościuki – Choroszcz – Żółtki – Dzikie – Fasty. It refers to the places associated with the beginning of the textile industry.
