Selected rules for amateur fishing in the Narew National Park

  1. Amateur fishing can only be made by a person with a fishing license.
  2. Holders of licenses to amateur fishing in the Narew National Park are entitled to fish with two rods at once, as well as during the ice season.
  3. It is illegal fishing if the length of the fish does not exceed the minimum size of:
  • Asp - 40 cm
  • Ide - 25 cm
  • Dace - 15 cm
  • Chub - 25 cm
  • Tench - 25 cm
  • Burbot - 25 cm
  • Wels catfish - 70 cm
  • Pike - 45 cm
  • Eels - 40 cm
  • Rudd - 15 cm
  1. It is illegal fishing during the protection periods:
  • Burbot - from 1 of December to the end February
  • Wels catfish - from 1of November to 30 of June
  • Pike - from 1 of January to 30 of April
  1. There is an obligation to register the boat used to catch fish. Registration shall be made in the Country/Powiat Office of the owners residence.
  2. In the Narew National Park lands there are quantitative species limits per day:·        
  • Wels catfishes - 1 unit
  • pikes, asps, carps, barbels - a total of 3 units
  • eels, tenches - a total of 4 units
  • ides, chubs - a total of 10 pieces
  • breams - 10 pieces

The total number of fish caught and taken away from the catch of the mentioned species cannot exceed 10 units per day. It is allowed to take fish from the catch, of the not listed above species, if not exceed 5 kg per day. The limits do not apply to bream.
